TownValetSeattle: holiday pickup changes
Seattle Public Utilities posts holiday changes as seasonal notices (for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day) rather than a standing rule, so we do not move any dates. In those weeks, check SPU’s notice.
In the city’s words: “If your regular collection day falls on one of these holidays, your service will be delayed by one day.” (source)
Always check your city’s official notice. Cities sometimes change a holiday schedule at short notice. These dates are computed from the rule above and the holiday calendar; where the city publishes no standing rule we mark the holiday week “may change” and do not move any date.
